How I can find a good wine that I can continue until the child's graduation from my university in 20 years?
I have three children, born in 2003, 2004 and 2007. I would keep a box of wine each year from birth to when they grow up, to celebrate things like weddings, graduations, birthday and large [30, etc..] Any idea how I can find the wines that are good and should be able to last so long, so long as they remain in a basement cool?
My god father and cousin made this for me (in fact there is still a bottle waiting to be eaten). I also did it for my nephew. I bought one o'clock PT One hundred. Shiraz. In general, you want to find a full Red body (usually a taxi, or style Shiraz Bordoux and / or Rohne Style – Pinot Noir could work. Do not think a Zin have the body. I would consult a reputable wine merchent Guides are rating wines. Do you want a top rated wine (98-100 pts listed as not being ready to drink 10 + years). The key to maintaining good wine for this time is adequate storage. If you have a good cellar cool this will work if not you should probably invest in a wine cooler. Wine to age well, not about large temporal variation, light and movement. This will be a best gifts you give and one that will have wonderful memories and taste the wine and age to grow with time. DA
