Turning a closet into a wine cellar?
What is the best route to take to convert a closet in a cellar. I have a hall closet that probably only have about 100 bottles or less, when equipped. Is there a small cooling unit to put there? What would be the best shelving system to be? Etc. …. Thanks, Gantt
there are tons of options if you want to keep your wine fresh, in fact there is little air conditioning equipment designed to keep a small room / cool the cabinet, but the need for food and usually some type of ventilation air system hot it might be better to keep your wine there and move it to a wine refrigerator to cool before drinking actually … I keep about 4 bottles of liquor in my fridge, and put the rest in my pantry that I have become a wine cellar and racking systems for the sky is the limit, there are premade stacking units, grids and guides to your own or "alternative elections" … I personally I have a lot of cardboard tubes, about 10 "in diameter and about 1 foot deep and stack, and put 2-3 bottles in each tube. Works great, and can hold about 100 bottles.
